The Best UK Festivals 2020

Festival season is fast approaching, and tickets are on sale already – we’ve listed the top UK Festivals that we think are a great experience for everyone…

  1. Glastonbury Festival
Dates – 24th June – 29th June 2020

“Five Days of Contemporary music and arts”

Glastonbury is the festival that everyone has heard of – and everyone wants to go to! Glastonbury has a great history, and has had many incredible artists perform there since 1970.

Unfortunately, all of Glastonbury’s official site tickets have sold out due to their high demand – but if you ever get the chance to go – don’t say no!

  • All ages welcome
  • Held in Glastonbury, Somerset
  • Contemporary music, dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other arts

2. Download Festival

Dates – 12th – 14th June 2020

“The UK’s Premier Rock Festival…”

Download is the UK’s premier Rock Festival, held in Donnington Park for three days. It’s full of amazing rock artists each year – and is certainly an experience to have.

  • Held in Donnington Park
  • All ages welcome – terms apply
  • Options to Eco-camp and Quiet Camp

3. Isle of Wight Festival

Dates – 11th June – 14th June 2020

“Over 90,000 music fans each year!”

The Isle of Wight Festival is one of the UK’s longest running music festivals (since 1968!). It brings over 90,000 music fans each year and is quite the place to be!

It has a brilliant 2020 line-up and we definitely think it’ll be brilliant.

  • All ages welcome
  • Student Tickets available
  • Four mainland ferry ports at Southampton, Portsmouth, Lymington or Southsea.

4. Creamfields

Dates – 27th August – 30th August 2020

“The Biggest Dance Fest in the UK”

Creamfields, is the biggest dance music festival in the UK. Its a great festival to let your hair down and dance!

It welcomes 80,000 people each year and is a four-day camping event.

Tickets are still available to buy from the official Creamfields website.

  • Held in Daresbury, Cheshire
  • Strictly age 18 + event

5. Lovebox

Dates – 12th June – 14th June 2020

“House, Hip-Hop, R&B and grime…”

Lovebox Festival is a hip, summer music festival which showcases artists from the world of house, hip-hop, R&B and grime across two days. It has been running since 2002 and welcomes around 40,000 people each year.

  • Held at Gunnersbury Park, London
  • 16+ Only event – under 18s must be accompanied

6. All Points East

Dates – 22nd May – 25th May

“10 Days of Music and Entertainment”

All Points East is a long, 10 day festival of music and entertainment in East London – with artists over two weekends. All Points East, is a festival which has only been running for 3 years, but that doesn’t mean its not excellent. It emphasises London’s hip culture and is the place to be this summer.

7. Reading & Leeds Festival

Dates – 28th August – 30th August

“Amazing line-ups for 2020!”

Are you Reading, or are you Leeds?

Reading & Leeds Festival, is in two different locations, held on the same weekend – both with amazing line-ups for 2020. A lot of well known artists perform at these festivals over the weekend. If you’re not at one, you should definitely be at the other!

  • All ages welcome, but young children not advised
  • Held in both Reading AND Leeds

8. Wireless

Dates – 3rd July – 5th July 2020

“The Best Urban Music Festival in London”

Wireless is London’s number one urban music festival – the finest artists from hip-hop, grime and more perform here over one weekend.

  • Children under 5 are not permitted
  • Held in Finsbury Park, London

9. Boomtown

Dates – 12th August – 16th August 2020

“It gets better, and better every year”

Boomtown is the festival held most locally to Planet Camping, in Winchester, Hampshire. It expands every year, and gets better and better. Its psychedelic and crazy, but so much fun. What more would you want from a festival?

10. Boardmasters

Dates – 5th August – 9th August 2020

“Sun, Surfing and Great Music!”

Boardmasters consists of Sun, surfing and good music. Boardmasters is brilliant for those who love to be by the coast.

It is held in Cornwall, running since 1981 and welcomes around 53,000 keen festival goers each year.
